SCULPTOR
American born sculptor, Cary Shafer, creates stone and steel works using a variety of techniques and tools that span thousands of years.
With ancient stone carving tools and techniques learned from an apprenticeship at the Washington National Cathedral and integrating powerful 21st century digital tools to design and render new ideas, his ability to envision and execute are limitless.
Creating a 3d model of the entire site allows for 360 degree views and testing different sketch ideas in multiple locations and scales.
PUBLIC WORK
Be it private or public, when designing a piece, Cary establishes a series of filters by which to make decisions through.
Filters could include emotional intent, who the audience is, how and where it is to be viewed, site constraints, budget, and a world of other options to chose from.
